Introduction:
Today, we engage in a profound exploration of divine wisdom and spiritual enlightenment through the lens of Scripture. We draw our inspiration from the book of Isaiah, Chapter 33, verse 6, as it reads in the New King James Version:
“Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation; The fear of the LORD is His treasure.”
I. Wisdom as Solution-Oriented Mentality:
In our journey through life, we all encounter lions, bears, and Goliaths, symbolic of the problems, challenges, and setbacks we face. Yet God’s wisdom empowers us to engage our minds, calculate our way out of these difficulties, and find solutions. (1 Corinthians 10:13, John 8:3-11).
Understanding this, let us now delve into the wisdom we need to break free from the world’s systems.
II. Satan’s Babylonian System:
According to God’s word, it is evident that men do not rule the world; Satan does. He operates like a master puppeteer, manipulating the world through his deceptive “Babylonian system.” Even the architecture of major metropolises, marked by skyscrapers, reflects this dominance.
So, what is this “Babylonian system,” and how does it control various aspects of our lives?
– Economics, Politics, Education, Religion, and Entertainment: Satan’s Babylonian system encompasses all these domains, seeking to keep humanity bound by its agenda and purpose.
Scripture provides further insights into this spiritual battle for control.
III. The Battle Against Spiritual Blindness:
Two Corinthians 4:4 warns us of the god of this world, blinding the minds of those who do not believe, and preventing them from seeing the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. Our fallen human nature, marked by spiritual blindness, is key to Satan’s hold over people.
Transition:Now, let us explore the first revelation mankind needs – salvation from sin.
IV. The Freedom from Sin:
Our fallen nature keeps us bound by the world’s system. Only through the Cross of Jesus can we break free. (Romans 5:12-21, Romans 8:5-8)
But salvation is only the beginning. We must also find freedom in our finances.
V. The Freedom of Finances:
Jesus teaches us that we cannot serve both God and Mammon. In this context, mammon represents a deceptive allure of wealth and materialism that seeks to replace God.
To break free from Mammon’s grip, we must understand the difference between borrowing for personal desires and borrowing for investment.
Transition: Moreover, Satan’s system revolves around buying and selling, while God’s system centers on sowing and reaping.
VI. The Law of Sowing and Reaping:
Buying and selling focus on profit and self-advancement, while sowing and reaping are rooted in obedience, love for God, and advancement of the Kingdom.
We must change our perspective on debt and fully embrace the law of sowing and reaping.
VII. The Freedom of Religion:
Structures built under the name of the Church can sometimes deviate from God’s Kingdom. It is essential to discern between a churchian and a true Kingdom-oriented church.
The parable of the wheat and tares illustrates this point.
– Tares Among Wheat:In the Kingdom of God, the enemy sows false doctrines and systems alongside God’s truths.
Transition:We are living in a time of discernment, where the quality of our faith and our works will be tested by fire.
VIII. The Test of Faith and Works:
God will judge the quality of our work, whether it aligns with His will. Even in the midst of spiritual warfare, God is using these tests to refine His Church.
Recent events, like the COVID-19 pandemic, have challenged our dependence on worldly systems.
IX. Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic
The pandemic served as a wake-up call, urging us to detach itself from the world’s systems and businesses as usual.
**Transition:** In conclusion, God is preparing us for His divine purpose.
X. God’s Divine Purpose:
He wants us to be nourished by His Word, endure, and receive His grace and wisdom to overcome the world’s challenges.
Closing Thoughts:
As we depart today, remember that only through wisdom, faith, and obedience to God’s Word can we truly break free from the world’s systems. Let us continue to seek God’s wisdom and trust in His plan for our lives. Amen.
